In what looks like very bad news for the online poker industry, federal authorities sealed an indictment against the three largest poker rooms operating in the USA. The founders of Full Tilt Poker, Absolute Poker and Pokerstars plus several other defendants, have been charged with bank fraud, money laundering and illegal gambling operations. They have also issued restraining orders on 75 bank accounts used by the poker companies and payment processors, and five domain names belonging to the poker companies were also seized. Currently the Absolute Poker website is showing a DOJ notice.

Other operators who are still active in the United States are likely to withdraw – it is already rumoured that Rival Gaming Casinos are no longer accepted players from the USA.
